Emnotweni’s very first ‘Amazing Valentine’s Race’ is a unique and extremely exciting competition, orchestrated by Emnotweni Casino in association with Lowvelder Newspaper, Jacaranda RMFM and the Riverside Mall, where the race will take place.

The idea of the race is to offer couples the opportunity to outwit, outplay and outrun other couples to win a romantic get-away worth R4000! Those who believe they have the competitive advantage to win this exciting race should e-mail a photo of their “perfectly fun moment of love” as well as a 200 word description of why they deserve a luxurious weekend away to, emnopromo@tsogosun.com, together with a name, surname and ID number. Entries can be submitted from Wednesday, 26 January.

Emnotweni Casino will select the top 15 entries which will be displayed on the websites and Facebook pages of the Lowvelder newspaper, Riverside Mall as well as Jacaranda RMFM. Voting starts on 26 January and closes on 8 February 2011. The public can vote by visiting www.emnotweni.co.za or on Lowvelder and Jacaranda’s sms line.  Eight couples, who received the most votes, will be competing for the grand prize. The ‘Amazing Valentines Race’ will kick off at Explorers restaurant at Emnotweni Casino at 13:00 on Friday, 11 February. Each couple will be given their first clue and told where to start their race in Riverside Mall. Challenges will include eating ice cream at Urban Ice with sushi sticks collected from John Dory’s; painting a self portrait at the Portrait Studio; buying a Valentine’s Card at CNA; cycling – on a real bicycle – obtained from the Extreme Sport Shop to the Valley of Spices to collect two fortune cookies; getting a Henna tattoo at The Market; buying two bottles of champagne at Diamond liquor store; making their own cocktails at the Explorer’s bar; playing casino tables and much more!

To make the race even more exciting, a Jacaranda RMFM DJ will be phoning the various couples in turn to talk to them live on air to ensure that the listeners are kept in the loop of how the competition is progressing.

Please note that only persons under the age of 18 are allowed to participate in this race.
