This year, Lowveld residents can look forward to a very special Carols by Candlelight.

This year, Lowveld residents can look forward to a very special Carols by Candlelight. Emnotweni Casino, Jacaranda RMFM, the Riverside Mall and Riverside Park Precinct Assocation have teamed up to host an unforgettable evening of Carols, Candlelight and some of our country's most well-known performers.

To avoid the risk of having to cancel due to rainy weather, the Carols by Candlelight will be held this year in Riverside Mall's undercover parking area. Those who would like to join in the celebration of Christmas, are welcome to bring along the whole family for an evening of entertainment on 7 December when popular stars Romanz, Nianell and On-Que will be leading the audience in carols and other songs. MC for the evening is Robbie Cruise from Jacaranda 94.2.

Carols by Candlelight is an Australian Christmas tradition that originated in south-eastern Australia in the 19th century and the tradition has since spread around the world.

There will be no cash entry fee, but organisers request that you bring a book, any book, which will be donated to charity. The event will kick off at 18h00, and you should bring your own chair. Candles will be on sale and funds raised will also be donated to charity.

This is definitely an evening not to be missed!
