
Take part in our exciting Blackjack Tournament taking place Every Friday at Emnotweni Casino’s Prive.
The tournament begins on 30 July – 27 August at 19:00 – 21:00. Buy in to participate is R500 or you can use your points to enter at 50 000 points. The tournment will have two sets each Friday with the winners of each set gaining a seat in the semi-finals taking place on Saturday 28 August. At the end of the tournament we will be having 10 qualifying semi-finalists that will play off to be in the final later that day.
The top 3 winners in the finals walk away with cash prizes.
1st Prize R40 000, 2nd Prize R15 000 and 3rd Prize 5 000.
Cash payments to enter are made at Emnotweni Casino’s cashdesk and points payments are made at Club Festival Desk.
If you don’t know yet how the Blackjack game works, no need to worry you can join us at the Blackjack table in the Prive every Friday at 17:00 for a few lessons, just to prepare you to be a pro before you take part in the tournament.

Tournament Rules, Terms & Conditions
- The tournament will consist of two tables per evening played on each Friday during the promotional period, this will result in 10 finalists
- The first 7 Players to hand in their R500 entrance fee will be entered into each table. Bookings will open from 1 hour before the start of play.
- Qualifying paid up Players will draw cards for seating position.
- Cards numbered from 1 to 7 representing the seating positions from right to left will be drawn. The number on the card indicates the seat the player will occupy for that heat.
- The dealer will then issue each player their predetermined playing chips.
- Once all the players have received their chips a marker button will be placed in front of the first box.
- This button indicates the order that the cards will be dealt and order of betting. This button will automatically be moved to the next box after each hand has been completed.
- Commencing with the indicated box the player will place his or her bet. Each player will then bet in order from the indicated box.
- Once a bet has been placed it may not be increased or reduced.
- Once all the bets have been placed the hand will commence beginning with the cards being dealt first to the box indicated with the marker button.
- No Player may “Buy in “ whilst the competition game is in progress with any cash and or chips not issued to him / her or won in the competition.
- In the event a player has lost all the competition chips, he / she must vacate their seat at the table.
- The hand will be played according to Emnotweni Casino Black Jack rules with regards to drawing rules and payouts. Side bets (Snap) will not be part of the competition.
- Each Game will consist of 14 hands.
- At the end of the 14 hands the player with the highest chip count will be classed as the Winner for that round and gain entry into the semi-finals which take place on 27 August.
- The Final will be dealt on Sunday the 29 August at 14H00.
- Players can enter into as many rounds as they wish but may only qualify for the semi-finals once. In the event of a player winning two heats the second placed player in the second heat will go through to the semi-finals.
- By Friday 27 August, 10 winners would have qualified for the semi-finals and 4 wild card finalists will be selected through training tables at Emnotweni Casino and email competition.
- Two rounds of semi-finals will be played, same rules as above applying
- Top 2 players from each table will be selected to play in the final and the fifth place will be determine by the third highest chip holder from both tables. This results in 5 patrons playing in the final.
- The Winner of the final on 28 August will win R40 000, 2nd place will win R15 000 and 3rd place R5 000.
- On the Final night Media houses will take part in a ‘charity play off’ round.
- Each Media house will raise money to play by receiving donations from the Public.
- The total Prize money will go to all the charities supported by the participants. Emnotweni will also contribute to the total number of donations collected.
- The winner after the predetermined number of hands will get to choose the charity that gets the 1st prize money, 2nd place will allocate the 2nd place prize money and so forth.
