Emnotweni Casino, the premium entertainment destination in Mpumalanga, is once again playing a big part in helping to stage the highly-popular Innibos Art Festival which takes place in Nelspruit from Wednesday the 29th of June until Sunday the 3rd of July this year.
Emnotweni Casino has played a leading role in the annual Innibos Festival since its inception in 2002. It has the honour of hosting the official launch party which is attended by members of the media and other dignitaries, while the expansive Emnotweni Arena provides the stage for some of the most prestigious acts of the InniBos Festival. The casino will also sponsor and host the exclusive VIP lounge at the main festival grounds for performing artists and other special guests attending the festival.
The annual Innibos Festival has quickly become a nationally-recognised and acclaimed event, attracting over 100 000 festival-goers from across the country in 2010. The festival features about 30 music, theatre and dance productions which are hosted in several venues in and around Nelspruit.
The central festival terrain at Hoërskool Bergvlam hosts open stages, some 350 art craft stalls and continuous entertainment from 10 am until late every evening. Each night, a concert with top South African artists is presented on the Standard Bank Stage. Crowds of up to 35 000 people attend the main stage shows. Aside from being great fun and providing a platform for showcasing local arts, culture and music, the Innibos Festival is also considered a positive economic enabler in the Lowveld.
“We are obviously thrilled to once again be part of this hugely successful arts and music event. As the favourite entertainment destination in Mpumalanga’s most dynamic city, our continued involvement in Innibos is non-negotiable. In fact, we see it as part of our tradition. This year’s event promises to outstrip previous years,” says the casino’s General Manager Ig Olivier.
Over the years the casino has staged a myriad of world-class events, shows and golf tournaments which have attracted many visitors to the Lowveld.
The Emnotweni Complex offers an array of entertainment options. It adjoins Riverside Mall, one of the regions biggest shopping centres, with the newly refurbished Explorers Restaurant and Jacaranda FM’s new state-of-the-art regional broadcasting studio seamlessly connecting the casino with the mall’s promotion court and Nu Metro Cinema complex.
The casino itself boasts 367 slot machines offering a wide variety of games and denominations. In addition, there are ten gaming tables as well as a TouchTable MultiPLAY Roulette. The Salon Privé offers serious gamers privacy and exclusivity.
Lots on the cards
With thousands of people flocking to Nelspruit during this holiday season and for the Innibos Arts Festival, Emnotweni Casino has stepped up its entertainment programme with exciting gaming as well as food and beverage promotions.
The casino will be giving away R450 000 in its Sizzling Sundays promotion which runs until the 26th of June when the final draw takes place. Leading up to the big draw, there will be weekly draws every Sunday every hour between 11:30 and 14:30. Club Festival members get free tickets to these draws based on normal points earning criteria for playing their favourite games on the slots and tables.
At the casino’s newly refurbished Explorers Restaurant, there are a few special promotions underway. For instance, ladies in groups of five or more are treated to a complimentary bottle of wine when they eat at the restaurant during the Innibos period of 29 June to 3 July 2011.
The restaurant has also introduced its “Designer Meal” special which comprises a superb three-course meal and a complimentary drink chosen by the chef. The meals are specially designed each week. Prices are available on the casino’s website where you can also drool over the upcoming designer menus.
“The new Explorers Restaurant offers a variety experiences. Whether you’re there for pre-festival drinks with friends or a hearty sit-down meal at the end of a long day of partying, you will feel at home at Explorers. We’ve got loads of specials and promotions lined up so that we can offer our visitors something special and different,” says Olivier.
