Emnotweni Casino and Jacaranda RMFM, in proud association with SPAR, are hosting an extra special Carols by Candlelight for the local community on the 7th of December 2011.
“We’re delighted to once again be involved in staging the Carols by Candlelight with our partners SPAR, Jacaranda, Riverside Park Precinct, Coca-Cola and Riverside Mall. Following feedback from guests who, attended last year’s fantastic event, we’ve made a couple of changes, which we hope will enhance and better the event, making it an even more memorable evening for all attending” says Ig Olivier General Manager at Emnotweni Casino.
Not only will this year’s event feature two of South Africa’s most popular artists, Elvis Blue and Nianell, but there will also be some of the local talent on display. As introductory acts, Walter Fourie and Janetta van Vuuren will entertain the crowd, followed by a show with Mark and Viana from Vicarious Music, who will take the audience on a musical journey through time by reviving old classics by musical legends and thereby transcend the generational gap through performances that will appeal to young and old.
A team of pupils from Penryn will be assisting in the collection of books on the night, whilst Rotary will be selling cold drinks at the event. Food offerings will also be available from the likes of Juicy Luicy and Mugg and Bean, whilst the Coca-Cola monster truck will be bringing in some surprises.
Jacaranda’s charismatic Dj Miguel will be the master of ceremonies for the night. Depending on the predicted weather conditions, the Carols by Candlelight will be held either at the new Boulevard Entrance of the Riverside Mall or in the Mall’s underground parking area. Everyone filled with Christmas song and spirit is welcome. The gates will open at 17:00 and the festivities will kick off at around 18:00.
Instead of an entrance fee, the organizers request you to donate a book for charity. Guests are urged to bring their own chairs.
Apart from raising the Christmas spirit, Elvis Blue and Nianell will also be performing some of their own personal hit songs as part of their performance on the evening.
