EMNOTWENI CASINO OFFERS A REAL TREAT FOR HALLOWEEN
12 October 2010
If pounding the pavement and calling “trick or treat” isn’t quite your style, Emnotweni Casino is hosting two Halloween shindigs that might be more up your ally than your street.
With the who’s who of Halloween, a generous buffet dinner and awesome entertainment, Emnotweni Casino’s parties are going to more treat than trick. There are only 250 tickets available for the two parties on Friday 29 October and Saturday, the 30th.
Emnotweni Casino will be decking out a giant marquee in the main parking area for its Halloween celebrations. The festivities will kick off there, with a dance floor and a cash bar running until way beyond pumpkin hour. Guests are also welcome to take the joviality onto the casino floor for more fun and gaming. Dressing up is all part of the fun, and as added incentive, there’s R1,000 to be won on both evenings for the Best Dressed.
Trick or treating, wearing gory and scary costumes, lighting bonfires, carving jack-o-lanterns and attending costume parties are just some of the ways that Halloween enthusiasts mark the occasion. In South Africa, Halloween has grown in popularity in recent years and it is becoming more common for people to dress up, join trick or treat marches in their neighbourhoods, and attend Halloween parties.
“Halloween is a great, fun tradition that has really gained momentum in South Africa. People enjoy the frivolity and fun that naturally comes with dressing up in strange and scary costumes and being somebody else just for one night.
“As Mpumalanga’s premier entertainment destination, it’s only right that we host a party and do the holiday justice,” says Ig Olivier, the casino’s general manager.
