The Tournament table will be accept buy-ins from Wednesday to Sunday from 14h00 to 21h00. Rewards cardholders who earns more than 500 points will receive one free entry per week.

HOW TO ENTER:

During the qualifying rounds layers can enter as many times as they like at R50 per entry.

The aim is to get onto the top 21 positions of the Leader Board which will get you to the Semi-Finals!  (Position 1, will go straight to the Finals – so that’s where you want to be!)

There are 4 BONUS days, where the person with the highest score ON THE DAY, will win an instant R10,000 CASH!  Look out for: 19, 30 Apr; 7, 17 May 2023

Only the players in position 2 to 21 by close of the qualifying rounds on 21 May 2023, will proceed to the Semi-Final on 25 May 2023.

Players in position 2 to 21 will compete in the semi-finals – starting with a clean leader board.

The finals will take place directly after the Semi Finals on 25 May 2023, and will consist of 7 players.

6 top scorers from Semi-Finals PLUS the Top Scorer from the qualifying rounds.

If a player occupies more than 1 seat, they are allowed to nominate a proxy to play in their place.

The Final Jackpot is a guaranteed R75,000 CASH + R25,000 FreePlay PLUS 40% of the value of SOLD entry.

Position 2 to 7 will receive R10,000 each; as well as 10% of the value of the SOLD entries

QUALIFYING ROUNDS MECHANICS:

Dates: Wed to Sun, 12 Apr to 21 May 2023

Times: Buy-ins: between 14h00 – 21h00

The tournament will take place in dedicated tournament area in the non-smoking casino. A dealer for each day will be dedicated to the tournament.

Entry:

Complimentary ticket issued per week to players who has earned more than 500 points from 7 April 2023.

Free entry per week will be released as follows:

Gold cardholders on Saturdays,

Platinum on Friday and

Black cardholders’ on Thursdays.

R50 cash buy-in

Players may buy-in as many times as they wish during the tournament.

Buy-ins can be done at the tournament area.

Winning score ON THE DAY will be awarded a R10,000 CASH prize

Heats:

A maximum of 5 players at a time will constitute a heat, with a minimum of 1 player.

After buying in, each player will receive 3 x stacks of colour chips, each chip will represent R10.

Players will be given 3 spins of 60 seconds each to bet.

R10 table limits apply to all heats. R200 max on the number, R100 minimum on outside chances in multiples of R100, R5,000 maximum on even money chances and R2,500 on columns and dozens and no call bets will be accepted.

All scores will be recorded as a Rand based value as tournament winnings.

Players must play every spin. Missing a spin or hiding chips will result in a player being disqualified for that round.

At the end of 3 spins, the chips will be totalled and entries will be made onto the leader board if achieved.

An automatic leader board will be displayed reflecting the top 21 players.

Semi-Finals – 25 May 2023

Players in positions 2 to 21 (20 semi-finalists) after the qualifying rounds will enter into a play off in the Semi-Final to qualify for the remaining 6 available seats in the Final. Position 1 on the original leader board automatically qualifies for a seat on the finals.

Values won will not be carried forward.

The Semi-Final will be from 12h00

The tournament will start at 12h00 and late arrivals could be disqualified from the tournament.

The top 20 Semi-Finalists at 21 May 2023 will draw playing positions with a maximum of 4 players per table:

The top 6 value ranked players from Semi-Final; as well as the top scorer from the original leader board will go through the Finals.

Finals – 25 May

Directly after the 6 winners of the Semi-Finals have been announced.

The finalists will be allocated seating position at the table by way of a selection process.

A rotating marker will be used to control the betting order. Should a participant get eliminated before the marker button reaches their position they will be skipped and the marker moved to the next participant.

Each player will receive:

Each player will be given up to a maximum of 60 seconds to place their bets per spin. If they indicate they are finished prior to the allocated time, their betting time will be considered finished and will move to the next player.

A count will only be done after spin 4 (four)

A guaranteed value of R100,000 in prize money (R75,000 CASH and R25,000 FreePlay) will be given away to the first prize winner during the FINALS. 6 more prizes of R10,000 each to the rest of the players who participated in the FINAL round.

All proceeds from the buy-ins will be allocated to the top 6 positions on the leader board:

Position 1 = 40% of the value of the SOLD entries

Position 2 – 7 = 10% of the value of the SOLD entries

NOTE:  free tickets will not count towards SOLD entries.

1.Any person who is under the age of 18 or who has been refused entry to the casino or who is self-excluded, prior to or during the tournament, is prohibited from gambling and/or participating in the tournament and will be disqualified, where applicable.
2. Tournament will be open to Emnotweni Rewards members as well as non-members (the “Participants ”). It is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of or any otherperson who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers, or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
3.A designated and demarcated table will be utilised for the tournament and no live games will be offered on the tournament table.
4.Buy-ins and heats during qualifying rounds will take place from 14h00 on Wed to Sun from 12 April until 21 May 2023. Buy-ins and registrations for heats on the day till 21h00. Heats will continue thereafter till 22h00.
5.Entry to the tournament is by way of:
a.a prior cash buy-in to the value of R50, and it shall entitle the participant to the corresponding number of seats (R50 per seat) in any qualifying heats that occurs on the same day during which the Entry Purchase was made.
b.One earned ticket per week will be rewarded to Rewards members meeting the points earning criteria of more than 500 points earned from 7 April 2023.
i.These entry tickets will be released each week as follows: Gold cardholders on Saturdays, Platinum on Fridays and Black cardholders’ on Thursdays.
6.Bonus Days: 19, 30 Apr; 7 and 17 May 2023. Winning score at close of the last heat ON THE DAY will be awarded a R10,000 CASH prize. No FREE entries will be accepted on these days.
7.Players may re-enter as many times as they wish by way of re-buys provided that the re-buys are for different heats.
8.Any buy-ins for casino specific qualifying rounds not played prior to the closing date of the qualifying rounds will be forfeited.
9.Each chip will represent an unredeemable rand value of R10 for purposes of determining winners and ranking of players.
10.These chips have no cash value and it cannot be redeemed for value in any form, or used to place bets at live games.
11.R10 table limits apply to all heats.
12.R200 maximum on the number, R100 minimum on outside chances in multiples of R100, R5,000 maximum on even money chances and R2,500 on columns and dozens.
13.No call bets will be accepted.
14.Players play for themselves, monies may not be pooled or transferred to other players.
15.All chips must be returned to the respective table float at the end of each heat / round.
16.No Proxies will be allowed during the Qualifying rounds.
17.Chips are to be kept on the Table in a visible manner at all times. Hiding chips or missing a spin may constitute to disqualification.
18.Chip “winning” from one heat/round session will not be carried over.
19.100% of the money received from buy-ins will be distributed into the prize pool.
20.Participants do not earn Rewards Programme points when participating in the tournament.
21.During the qualifying rounds and later stages specific betting timing periods may be applied.
22.Tournament winnings won during each individual heat will be totalled and ranked to determine the top chip earners.
23.Participants must bet during every spin.
24.During the qualifying rounds an automatic leader board will be displayed reflecting the top 21 players.
25.Players in positions 2 to 21 (20 semi-finalists) after the qualifying rounds will enter into a play off in the Semi-Final to qualify for the remaining 6 available seats in the Final. Position 1 on the leader board automatically qualifies for a seat in the Finals.
26.The Semi-finals rounds will held at Emnotweni, on 25 May 2023, prior to the Finals taking place.
27.All participants will be required to register prior to the advertised starting time of the Semi – And Finals. Late arrival and registration may result in being disqualified from the tournament.
28.During the finals on 25 May 2023, participants cannot nominate a semi-finals player to be their proxy, it has to be a nominee who hasn’t qualified for the semi-finals & finals
29.Should there be tied scores and there is a need for a spin off i.e. progressing to the next round or determining a position a Dealer will spin the Roulette ball in the wheel for the affected participants in alphabetical order of their surnames.
30.The participant with the higher number (zero being a low number) will gain the higher position and the sequence will follow on respectively. The ranking order will be adjusted accordingly. In the event the same number is spun for more than one participant, the dealer will re-spin assigning the number spun alphabetically should there be a need.
31.In the event that a time limit to place bets is relevant, such bets must be placed within the time limit and may not be adjusted once the participants time limit has expired or they have indicated they have finished betting, when the rotational marker that is being utilised for betting sequence has moved on to the next participant.
32.Where the applicable score was earned by the play of a Proxy, the proxy name will continue to be used until the spinoff is completed.
33.Should participants wish to elect representatives through a proxy, they may elect representatives who may not be co-participants in any of the respective stages. The nominated representatives will be required to play without any coercion and/or input/strategy from the nominating participants concerned.
34.Where utilized, the Master of Ceremonies will announce the start of each tournament session. Participants or proxies, where relevant, who are not present at the actual start of the respective session will forfeit their seats without any re-funds. The Master of Ceremonies will announce the allocated times, which may differ during the various stages of the tournament.
35.Should a “NO SPIN” be declared by the Tournament Director whilst a rotational marker is being used, bets will not be changed and the ball will be re-spun.
36.A rotating marker will be used to control the betting order and should a participant get eliminated before the rotating marker reaches their position they will be skipped and the marker moved to the next participant.
37.Whilst every reasonable effort will be taken to ensure the accurate recording of rankings/scores, the onus shall remain with participants to ensure that their rankings/scores are correct at all times.
38.FINAL ROUND PRIZES:
a.First: R75 000 CASH + R25,000 non-neg
b.Positions 2 to 7 = R10,000 each
c.All proceeds from the R50-entry value will be allocated to the top 7 positions on the leader board
i.Position 1 = 40% of buy-ins
ii.Position 2 – 7 = 10% each
39.The casino reserves the right to make the necessary corrections as soon as it becomes aware of any founded discrepancies, which corrections could change the rankings/scores of participants and allocation of prizes.
40.Tournament Director’s decision (or a Management Representative thereof) will be deemed as final and no correspondence will be entered into.
